This year the announcement of the new 100 candidates (from 35 different countries) who will compete for the title of THE BEST CHEF together with the chefs of the TOP100 2020 will be full of suspense:
Starting from February 25, for 100 days, THE BEST CHEF will announce one candidate per day (in random order) through its social channels.

The Best Chef Awards New Candidates for the Top 100 2021: Hajime Yoneda
Hajime Yoneda was born in October, 1972 in Hirakata, Osaka. He spent his childhood and adolescence in this small, simple mountain town. Engrossed in mathematics all throughout high school, in university he enrolled in the department of science and engineering, where he studied electrical engineering. Employed in 1996 by an electronics maker, he engaged in the design of electronics. He became a chef in 1998, working in restaurants in Japan and France, and in May of 2008, he opened Hajime RESTAURANT GASTRONOMIQUE OSAKA JAPON with the theme of “A truly wonderful restaurant.” Then in 2009 - a mere 1 year and 5 months after opening it garnered the ranking of a Michelin 3 star restaurant the fastest in history. In May of 2012, more active and innovative than ever, it changed names to HAJIME, and continues to use each day as a new chance to express a unique aesthetic and worldview through the mediums of gastronomy, life science, biology, brain science, gastroenterology, business management, architecture, and space science.
All things which are prepared and presented in a predetermined way are meaningless. It is Thought which infuses the spirit, the thought they wish to convey, and the sought after level of perfection. Eventually, one may gain understanding. It is during this fusion of Thought and Creation that the level of accomplishment increases. That is all there is. This practice, shared by artists, designers, athletes, businesspeople, mathematicians, chefs…. is what marks all those who strive for excellence. Things don't have an absolute form. It is ultimately investigating their nature which reveals them and allows them to dazzling shine. As one approaches the region of art, one gets near the truth.
